Job Title: Quality Control Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Quality Control Mechanical Engineer to support a Mechanical Contractor in Columbus. The role involves conducting quality control on construction and fabrication drawings within the fabrication shop.ResponsibilitiesReview shop drawings to ensure mechanical systems, including plumbing and HVAC, are fabricated, built, and assembled correctly.Inspect mechanical and plumbing systems in fabrication shops before they are shipped to client job sites.Conduct audits of mechanical systems and provide guidance to the fabrication team on building HVAC or mechanical systems correctly.Essential SkillsProficiency in HVAC system and design.Experience with sheet metal design and assembly.Ability to conduct HVAC and mechanical inspections.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications4-year or 2-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.Understanding of fabrication drawings.Interest in working for a mechanical contractor and in a fabrication shop.Work EnvironmentThis position is on-site, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
