Overview:
Join our Quality team and play an important role in ensuring customer materials are processed accurately and meet quality and finishing requirements. In this role, you will evaluate product and order information, develop clear work instructions, assess nonconforming material, and partner with Production, Sales, Pricing, and Customer Service to resolve quality and processing concerns.
As a Quality Inspector, you will:
- Review order information, product attributes, quality criteria, and finishing requirements to develop accurate work instructions.
- Complete documentation packages, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and test data submissions.
- Perform contract and feasibility reviews through First Article, Sample, and Quotation systems.
- Assess nonconforming and rework material and coordinate its processing, testing, and disposition.
- Develop and submit formal customer corrective action reports.
- Review documentation and certify outgoing products.
- Support troubleshooting efforts related to process capability, product quality, and finishing requirements.
- Respond to questions and requests from Production, Sales, Pricing, Customer Service, and customers.
- Participate in customer conference calls and visits as needed.
What to Expect on the Job:
- A fast-paced environment that requires close coordination with multiple departments.
- A workday divided approximately equally between computer-based or stationary work and walking or standing.
- Walking up and down stairs several times per day.
- Occasionally lifting parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Hands-on involvement in quality decisions, rework activities, customer requirements, and process troubleshooting.
