Quality Control (QC) Technician

Location: Lewisville, TX
Job Type: Long-Term Contract Opportunity

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician to join their QA/QC Department for a long-term contract assignment in Lewisville, Texas. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying industrial control panels and electrical components to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience interpreting schematics, and hands-on testing experience with industrial control systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and verify control panels and electrical components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Interpret and validate Bills of Materials (BoM) and electrical schematics.
  • Perform electronic testing and trace wire origins and tags for accuracy and compliance.
  • Safely power up and test AC/DC electrical systems up to 480V in accordance with OSHA and NEC safety protocols.
  • Validate operation of PLCs and instrument loops (4 20mA), including transmitters, flow meters, and pressure, temperature, and level probes.
  • Perform I/O testing using platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and SCADA systems.
  • Submit corrective work orders and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas while adhering strictly to safety procedures.
  • Support production schedules by working extended hours or weekends as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 2 4 years of relevant quality control or electrical testing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with electrical circuits, relays, and diagnostic/test equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a similar QC or electrical testing role.
  • Military technical training or related hands-on experience.
