The Sample Management Technician is responsible for ensuring that all samples are entered into the appropriate tracking system. Either paper based or Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and made available to the lab staff in a timely manner. Responsible for receipt and entry of samples. Provides timely notification of sample receipt. Maintains chain-of-custody. They will identify and document all discrepancies between client paperwork, LIMS, and sample containers.
