JOB OVERVIEW:
The Sanitation Technician on 3rd shift (9 pm - 5:30 am) is responsible for externally sanitizing production equipment and maintaining overall plant cleanliness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Knowledge of cleaning agents, applications, and proper procedures
- Documenting and following sanitation standards and frequency guides
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment per specifications
- Measuring and mixing cleaning solutions correctly
- Ensuring sanitation meets food safety standards
- Interpreting instructions and handling complex sanitation tasks
- Compliance with safety and food regulations
- Additional duties as assigned
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Regular walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and handling equipment required. Work may occur in manufacturing, warehouse, and other settings with PPE, moderate to high noise levels.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED, prior sanitation experience preferred, ability to follow OSHA/GMP/HACCP training, 18+ years old, pass background/drug screens, flexible schedule including weekends/holidays, transportation required.
