Position Summary
Responsible for Inspection of complex machined component parts and completed assemblies, upon receipt, in-process and final, for defects and dimensional conformance to drawings and specifications; Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements; responsible for programming and operation of complex Computer Measuring devices (CMM); Provides technical leadership to Inspection department team.
Essential Responsibilities
o Can accurately identify and classify Characteristics, features and defects.
o Completes inspection points receiving, 1st Article etc.
o Product and material traceability.
o Nonconforming Material identification.
o Product Audits.
o Receiving inspection.
o In process inspection
o Final inspection
o 1st Article inspection
o Sampling techniques
o Drafting and maintaining procedures.
o Support management and scheduling with outside calibration service(s).
o Responsible for gage correlation, reproducibility and repeatability, gage traceability, and problem solving.
