Quality Control Specialist/Machine Operator
Pay Rate: $18.00-19.00/hr
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Overtime as needed
Location: East Berlin

Position Overview
We are looking for a Machine Operator to support quality throughout the manufacturing process. This role will begin with machine operation training to learn the products, wood species, manufacturing processes, grading, and specifications before moving into broader quality responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect manufactured and purchased products throughout production, finishing, packaging, inventory, and shipping
- Measure product dimensions and verify grading specifications
- Identify different wood moldings and lumber species
- Read and interpret drawings
- Accurately use a digital caliper
- Inspect sanding, finishes, adhesion, and gloss levels
- Review product returns and assist with customer complaints
- Complete daily and weekly Quality Control reports
- Audit inventory from the production floor through shipment
- Assist supervisors with training employees on grading specifications
Requirements:
- Drug and Background screening
- Reliable transportation
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Good attendance and safety record
- Previous Quality Control experience is a plus
- Manufacturing experience and knowledge of wood products/specifications is beneficial
- High School Diploma or GED required
