Quality Control Specialist (FDA / Food Industry/Pharma)

We are partnering with a growing company in the food industry seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support compliance and product quality across a global network of vendors and farms. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who understands FDA regulations and enjoys working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain FSVP (Foreign Supplier Verification Program) documentation to ensure compliance with FDA regulations
Work closely with international vendors and farms to verify product quality and documentation requirements
Track incoming shipments and ensure QC documentation is complete prior to arrival
Review and manage FDA/USDA holds, releases, and compliance issues
Perform receiving inspections, including sampling and QC reporting
Evaluate vendor samples and ensure adherence to quality standards
Investigate and resolve vendor and customer claims, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and compliance documentation
Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and production teams to support operations
Qualifications:
Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
2+ years of quality control experience in FDA-regulated environments (food or pharma preferred)
Experience working with global suppliers, vendors, or farms is a plus
Basic knowledge of SAP and Excel (ERP training provided)
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to problem-solve and work cross-functionally
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $45,000 – $55,000+ (flexible based on experience)
