Quality Control Supervisor (2nd Shift)
 
Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead an Incoming Inspection team in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for prioritizing inspection activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, supporting team development, and driving continuous improvement within the quality system.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Incoming Inspection team
  • Prioritize inspection workload to meet internal production demands
  • Ensure consistent adherence to established quality procedures and processes
  • Identify training needs and support development of team members
  • Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Report nonconforming materials and coordinate proper disposition with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate daily records to support departmental metrics and reporting
  • Communicate equipment, tooling, or resource needs to leadership
  • Enforce company policies and maintain a safe, compliant work environment
  • Perform hands-on inspection activities as needed
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in a mechanical inspection or quality role
  • Strong proficiency with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
 
Work Environment
  • Primarily based in a precision manufacturing/production setting
  • Some time spent in office and warehouse environments

 
Pay Rate Range:  $26.40-$35.20 per hour depending on experience
