We invite a detail-oriented professional to help us continue this tradition of excellence Position Summary The Quality Supervisor / Buyer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s quality management systems to ensure all products meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. This role oversees quality assurance, quality control, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier quality, and compliance activities within an electronics manufacturing environment. The Quality Supervisor works cross-functionally with production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Compliance - Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Document System (QDOC) in accordance with applicable standards, and customer-specific requirements.
- Create, Approve and audit SOPs, Work Instruction and Quality Documents
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards related to carbide manufacturing.
Production Quality Oversight - Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and process consistency.
- Analyze quality data, trends, and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
- Establish and monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspection procedures.
Buyer Quality Management - Working with the controller on purchasing and inventory of raw material
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance and quality metrics.
- Work with suppliers to resolve material and component quality issues.
- Source and procure metal materials in accordance with company requirements and specifications
- Work with company management to negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain conditions for metals
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities
- Issue purchase orders and track orders to ensure on-time delivery
Team Leadership - Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Provide quality-related training to employees across departments.
Continuous Improvement - Drive Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce defects, rework, scrap, and warranty claims through proactive quality management.
Qualifications Education & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field preferred
- OR 2 – 5 years of years’ experience in related field
Technical Skills - Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and FMEA.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
