Quality Control Supervisor (Manufacturing)
Monday-Thursday 4AM-2:30PM

Position Summary

The Quality Control Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring all products meet established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role works directly on the shop floor, guiding and supporting the quality team while actively participating in inspections and problem resolution. The position drives a process-oriented quality system with a focus on standard work, consistency, and continuous improvement across fabrication, welding, and assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Quality Leadership:
- Lead and direct daily activities of the quality team on the shop floor
- Perform in-process and final inspections
- Provide real-time coaching to operators and inspectors

Process & Standards Development:
- Develop and maintain SOPs for quality processes
- Establish inspection standards based on specifications
- Drive consistency across shifts and departments

Quality Assurance & Control:
- Oversee inspection of materials and finished goods
- Track defects and drive corrective actions
- Manage non-conforming material processes

Team Development & Accountability:
- Train and develop quality personnel
- Evaluate skills and close performance gaps

Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze trends and reduce rework
- Partner with Operations and Engineering on improvements

Process Discipline & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to procedures and standards
- Support audits and maintain documentation

Qualifications

Experience:
- 3–7+ years in manufacturing quality
- Metal fabrication or welding experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience

Skills:
- Strong process-oriented mindset
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
- Root cause problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership
- High attention to detail

Quality Culture & Engagement

- Promote and reinforce a 'Quality at the Source' philosophy, ensuring quality ownership is embedded at every stage of the manufacturing process
- Drive the expectation that quality is the responsibility of all team members, including prefabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing operations
- Partner with Production Supervisors and operators to ensure quality standards are clearly understood, consistently applied, and sustained across all processes
- Provide hands-on guidance and coaching to production personnel to build capability in identifying and preventing defects at the point of creation
- Lead initiatives that transition quality from inspection-based detection to process-based prevention
- Ensure operators are accountable for meeting defined standards prior to transferring work to the next operation

Schedule & Pay

  • Shift: 1st Shift Monday-Thursday 4AM-2:30PM Friday & Saturday Overtime
  • Pay: $66k-$75K a year
