Quality Control Supervisor
Hours: Generally expected to work 40-50 hours per week (Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:30pm) 

Job Summary
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the safety and quality of our products to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards. The motivated, qualified individual is vital in ensuring adherence to our internal procedures and protocols by executing the objectives listed below:
Duties/Responsibilities:

Product Quality
  • Drive positive product quality culture through organization
  • Drive accountability
  • Hold meetings with department heads to discuss trends and promote change
  • Communicate and educate plant floor personnel on product quality related topics
  • Manage team of Quality Control Technicians
  • Create & maintain fair, rewarding, & positive working environment
  • Promote communication and engagement
  • Administer and continuously improve trainings, bonus programs, and incentives
Quality
  • Continuously improve product quality systems
  • Oversee inspection and calibration programs
  • Continuously improve quality of products
  • Ensure we meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Lead investigations, ensure prompt resolutions from teams
  • Provide written responses to customers
  • Assist in developing solutions to reduce complaints
Food Safety
  • Drive positive food safety culture through organization
  • Drive accountability
  • Keep organization informed on food safety related topics
  • Keep a pulse on the organization’s current food safety culture
  • Food safety team-Assist in establishing goals and objectives, continue education by participating in external food safety trainings
  • Compliance: Assist with ensuring compliance with SQF Code for Food Manufacturing, preventive controls, HACCP plans, and other regulatory and customer requirements
  • Manage pest control program
  • Execute environmental monitoring program
  • Lead efforts against foreign material contamination, document control, GMPs, and personnel processing practices
FS/PQ Audits
Third Party (SQF, Regulatory, Customer)
  • Help ensure the organization is in compliance with all rules, regulations, and expectations
  • Maintain all food safety certifications and regulatory licenses
First Party (Internal)
  • Audit our systems and departments for compliance and effectiveness
  • Set internal expectations and prepare personnel with the knowledge for successful audits
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Positive leadership abilities
  • Written and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Attention to detail, observation, and organizational skills
Education and Experience
· Knowledge and experience in quality control
· Certified in HACCP and Preventive Controls for Human Food
· Knowledgeable (1-3 years' experience) in SQF and FDA regulations

Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

KPI Frequency/Project Driven Goals
KPI’s are to be presented and approved before the beginning of the quarter and results to be presented following the end of the quarter.
