Position Summary:

The Quality Control Team Lead oversees and manages the quality control processes within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies by conducting daily account audits, reviewing/analyzing loan documentation, and monitoring phone calls.

This is a hybrid position. Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and act as liaison between QC auditors and managers
  • Audit phone monitoring calls and/or review loan document audits performed by Senior Quality Control Auditors and Quality Control Auditors, notifying department management immediately of any issues related to audit findings
  • Assist with managing workflow volumes and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure all quality control-related functions are being completed timely
  • Assist with new hire training and ongoing coaching as needed
  • Provide easy to understand and actionable reporting to the Management team
  • Provide coaching of audit findings to QC auditors and written and verbal feedback to the department manager on audit findings related to QC auditors
  • Assist with overseeing all processes involved in quality control up to and including audits
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the auto finance industry or financial institution in a quality control auditing or related role
  • Minimum 2 years’ senior quality control experience

Education:

  • High school diploma and or/GED

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in quality control and auditing
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Additional:

  • Overtime required on an as needed basis
  • Travel 0 -10% as required on an as needed basis

Work Schedule: This position is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence, as needed. The role also requires flexibility to work various shifts to meet business needs, typically between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability as needed. Travel requirements are estimated at 0–10%.
