Description

Role OverviewThe QC Team member will be under general supervision to perform QC tests as required by following sampling instructions to evaluate products in various stages of completion. The QC team member helps perform investigations/analysis of problems, and assists with implementing countermeasures, while minimizing impacts to production. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by employing 5S principles.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Perform product inspections and quality testingCollect samples according to work instructionsRecord inspection and test results accuratelyAssist with root cause investigations and corrective actionsMonitor compliance with quality standards and proceduresSupport continuous improvement and 5S activitiesReports nonconforming materials and productsMaintain quality records and documentationAUTHORITY & SCOPEThis role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required Supervisory Responsibilities: NoQualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)Required Education & Experience:High School Diploma or GED equivalent Good communication and teamwork skills Respect for others Punctuality Attention to Detail Cleanliness Flexibility SafetyPreferred Education & Experience:1-3 years of mechanical inspection experience preferred.Automotive manufacturing experience Good understanding of how production equipment works Ability to detect potential problems with machinery Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measuresCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations: NoneWorking Conditions:100% on production floor Extensive walking and standing on the production line/floorFlexibility to work weekends and holidaysTeam based working environmentRequired to always wear PPE correctlyShift: Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shift
