    Description

    Quality Control Tech in Huron, OH

    There is a sign on bonus of $1,000 for this role. 

    Starting Salary pay: $53,000-57,000k. 

    Shift:  This role will be working either 2nd shift or 3rd shift, based on companies hiring needs.  

    2nd shift hours will be 3 PM- 11 PM, Monday thru Friday. 3rd shift hours will be 11 pm- 7 am, Monday through Friday. 

    Overtime will be required for this role and paid at a hourly rate. You will need to have the ability to train on any and all shifts.

    As a Quality Control Tech working 2nd or 3rd shift, you will conduct complaint investigations, product benchmarking, and applications testing on paints, stains, adhesives and sealants used by homeowners, business owners and professional painters and contractors in the United States and Canada (USCA).

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Complaint investigations –investigate product complaints using defined test protocols, document and report results. 
    • Product benchmarking- conduct internal and external product testing, document and report results. 
    • Ensure that proper safety attitudes, procedures, and housekeeping are maintained on all work programs and conduct work in a manner that protects self, co-workers, the environment, and the safety of the community. 
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment following established experiment protocols, with limited supervision. 
    • Participate in the quality process and maintain requirements for the laboratory.  
    • Ability to write work instructions and procedures. 

    Qualifications 

    • Very significant math skills- you'll be using a lot of equations.  
    • A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and/or 1-3 years’ lab experience is preferred but not required. 
    • Prior experience with paint and/or coatings is preferred. 
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. 
    • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite. 
    • Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required.
