SUMMARY
This position provides support of the manufacturing department to ensure the highest product quality and systems are achieved to meet business goals and objectives. Maintain, support, and improve quality control system. Develop and improve quality processes and procedures to meet quality standards and reliability of products manufactured. This position also performs inspections and audits on purchased, manufactured and assembled products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the calibration of all manufacturing tools and equipment and maintaining calibration program.
- Involved in ensuring that all units meet build and quality requirements. Utilizes Record 360 system in all areas applicable.
- Inspects product upon receipt, throughout manufacturing process, and upon completion
- Maintains a good working relationship with Operations, Sales, Manufacturing, and Procurement to identify and effectively resolve issues.
- Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of applicable areas and safety consciousness.
- Responsible for engaging and assisting on resolving issues
- Assist in establishing inspections using proper tools and procedures, including performing non-destructive testing, dimensional checks and drawing review.
- Maintain system for data collection and record storage.
- Encourage and promote the practice of safety and adherence to safety and other company rules, and the proper operation and care of all equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work through identifying challenging issues troubleshoot and repair issues as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
- Record 360 of all inbound and outbound equipment.
- Yard/Building maintenance.
- Work closely with rental coordinator on all priority equipment to ensure all is staged and ready.
- Keep truck locator pinged and accurate.
- Assist lead technician with inspections if needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possess associate degree or applicable job experience.
- 3-5 years of quality control experience in a Production environment.
- Must have prior knowledge of production, testing, assembly and manufacturing
- Ability to identify and resolve quality related issues.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- High level quality inspection program aptitude and experience
- Knowledge of good workmanship as it applies to the manufacturing of fiberglass products
- General aptitude in working with common computer software (MS Office Suite, internet, RT.NET)
Working Conditions
- Work is conducted inside and outside during all-weather types.
- Temperatures will be variable according to season and specific work site.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in cold and hot weather conditions some part of the time.
- Be able to grip, pull and push heavy objects; perform routine lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Walking, climbing, crouching, standing, and sitting are required; ability to work with hands
