Quality Control Technician – Urgently hiring in Salem!

Job Title: Quality Control Technician - Food Manufacturing
Pay: $19/hr (with salary increase upon permanent hire)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

As a Quality Control Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring product safety, quality, and consistency. You’ll work closely with the quality assurance team to uphold high standards and contribute to continuous improvement in a clean, safe environment.

What You’ll Do


As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing scheduled laboratory tests on samples of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Inspecting raw materials and packaging materials to verify compliance with quality benchmarks.
  • Accurately recording test results and maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Mixing and controlling concentrations of standard laboratory reagents.
  • Maintaining lab equipment in proper working condition and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Managing inventory of chemical reagents and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of the laboratory area.
  • Assisting with waste treatment, yeast cultivation, and culture transfer processes.
  • Protecting the confidentiality of all formulations, ingredients, and testing methods.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Food Manufacturing Quality Control laboratory environment OR a relevant degree (Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and QA (Quality Assurance) standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand or sit for extended periods and safely handle lab chemicals and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe lab practices and experience with chemical reagents and laboratory tools.
