Why This Role Matters

Help us deliver safe, consistent, and compliant food products in Poughkeepsie, NY. As a full-time Quality Control Technician on 2nd shift (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, or until production ends), you’ll enforce standards, verify controls, and keep records audit-ready. A shift differential is included.

What You’ll Do

  • In-process and finished product checks to confirm quality and food safety conformance.
  • CCP and Preventive Control monitoring and documentation per HACCP requirements.
  • Pre-op inspections validating sanitation and readiness for start-up.
  • Accurate completion of logs, quality records, and production documentation.
  • GMP and policy verification across lines and work areas.
  • Non-conformance identification, documentation, and timely escalation.
  • Metal detector verification and routine checks.
  • Participation in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Support for SQF, FDA, and customer audits and ongoing compliance efforts.
  • Sample collection, basic testing support, and environmental monitoring assistance.
  • Professional communication of findings to production and leadership.

What You Bring

  • Prior QA/food safety experience in food manufacturing (strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and food safety regulations.
  • Detail orientation with disciplined, audit-ready documentation skills.
  • Ability to identify deviations and follow escalation procedures.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation systems/data entry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SQF-certified plants.
  • Exposure to regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.

Schedule

  • 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (or until production is complete)
  • Shift differential applies
