COMPENSATION: $22.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Role Summary:

The Quality Control Technician will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and consistency of Clarapath’s advanced SectionStar and TrimStar Pro platforms. This individual will support quality control activities throughout the product lifecycle, including incoming inspection, in-process and final inspection, testing, documentation, and identification of nonconformances. Working closely with manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, software, engineering, and quality teams, the Quality Control Technician will help ensure products and components meet established specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality standards. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality, and is passionate about supporting the development of innovative medical device and robotics technologies that improve laboratory workflows and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, assemblies, and finished products
  • Inspect parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and established quality standards
  • Use precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Perform functional and quality testing of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies
  • Document inspection and test results accurately and maintain required quality records
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials, components, and assemblies
  • Support nonconformance investigations and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
  • Assist with first article inspections and inspection activities associated with new or modified products
  • Verify that manufacturing processes are being performed in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions
  • Support calibration and maintenance of inspection and measurement equipment
  • Assist with maintaining inspection procedures, checklists, and other quality documentation
  • Review manufacturing documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process consistency, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection and work environment
  • Support quality activities associated with product builds, engineering verification, and production releases
  • Assist with audits and other Quality Management System activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering technology, quality, or a related field, a plus
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, inspection, or a related technical environment preferred
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical products preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or defects
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and quality control principles
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office or similar tools
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to accurately record inspection and test results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing and laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 or other regulated quality systems, a plus.
  • Experience in medical device, aerospace, robotics, or other regulated manufacturing environments, a plus.
  • Familiarity with nonconformance, CAPA, root cause analysis, or corrective action processes, a plus
  • Experience with inspection documentation or quality management systems, a plus
