Clayton Services is searching for a Quality Control Technician to join a thriving manufacturing company in the Humble, Texas area. The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards and product specifications.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $26.00–$32.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Fixed 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
- Perform physical, dimensional, and laboratory testing according to established procedures.
- Document inspection and test results accurately.
- Identify product defects and manufacturing deviations.
- Assist with investigations and root-cause analysis of quality issues.
- Support corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare product-quality and inspection documentation.
- Maintain product and process traceability records.
- Verify the calibration and proper operation of inspection and measuring equipment.
- Enter quality and inspection information into ERP or quality systems.
- Support process-control and continuous-improvement activities.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve quality concerns.
- Maintain compliance with plant safety and quality procedures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing inspection and quality-control practices.
- Ability to use measuring and testing equipment.
- Understanding of basic metrology and product testing.
- Familiarity with root-cause analysis and Statistical Process Control preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- ERP experience; SAP experience is a plus.
- Spanish language skills are preferred.
- Ability to work a fixed day or night 12-hour schedule.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of quality-control experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in metal manufacturing, steel, aluminum, wire and cable, extrusion, automotive, machining, or similar industrial operations is highly desirable.
- Equivalent hands-on manufacturing quality experience will be considered.
