Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying aerospace components and assemblies to ensure compliance with internal specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in line with AS9100, FAA, and other regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming in-process and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies using precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs. • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions to ensure product compliance. • Document non-conformances and collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. • Maintain accurate inspection records, test data, and quality documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards. • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment. • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and customer-specific requirements. • Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits as needed. • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety in all quality operations.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Associates degree or technical certification preferred 2 years of quality control experience in aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and blueprint reading Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment, manual and automated Working knowledge of AS9100 and FAA regulations Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills Basic computer skills, experience with ERPMRP systems, and quality databases is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with CMM programming and software, such as PC-DMIS or Zeiss CALYPSO Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) or other specialized aerospace inspection techniques Quality certifications, such as ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Six Sigma Green Belt

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work is performed in a manufacturing and inspection lab environment. May require standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
