Description

The Lincoln NE manufacturing plant has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technician! As a Quality Technician you will play a key role in supporting Schneider Electric's Quality System and driving improvements to products and processes. This position will include a high level of interaction with other teams such as Production, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design / Continuous Engineering. It is expected that problem analysis and troubleshooting of Quality issues will take a significant portion of your time in this position.

This will be a 1st Shift position.

What will you do?

  • Document Control - and Quality System Management Integrated ISO
  • Management System Audit support
  • Development and delivery of training documents and methods
  • Toll gate inspection for materials being shipped to sister plants
  • Incoming inspection support. This would be for vendor changes, quality issues with current vendors, initial shipments from new vendors.
  • Line audit support
  • Perform FAIRs and LAIRs as needed to support new vendors or product lines
  • Support in-house product testing requirements
  • Participate on PFMEA teams
  • PPEP support
  • Participate / Lead 8D initiatives and continuous improvement activities
  • Participate in Board of Change Activities

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • You hold an Associates Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical/Electromechanical, Computer Technology, Precision Machining/Automation, Non-Destructive Testing, or equivalent is required - Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • You have working knowledge of 6 Sigma concepts and methodologies is preferred
  • Previous experience working as a Quality Technician within Schneider Electric is required
  • Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
  • You are proficient in structured problem-solving methods (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D)
  • You have experience with quality inspection, auditing and test experience
  • You have experience with implementation of corrective action programs
  • You have product or industry-specific experience
  • You have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Databases
  • You have knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance

Pay Range: $54.4k - $81.6k
