Quality Control Technician - Metrology

The Quality Control Technician - Metrology will support the space program located in Houston, Texas. Responsible for the precision measurement of flight hardware; from Coordinate Measuring Machine programming to first-article inspection.RESPONSIBILITIES:Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) for dimensional and first-article inspections.Perform dimensional verification of incoming materials, purchased parts, and subcontracted products against drawings, specifications, and AS9100 requirements.Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators) and laser tracking/scanning equipment to verify conformance.Maintain tool control and calibration records; ensure equipment is calibrated and working correctly.Develop and maintain inspection reports; collate test data and draft quality reports.Report quality anomalies to the Quality Supervisor/Engineer and urgently communicate quality, safety, or compliance concerns.Identify and implement improvements to quality control processes.Other duties as assigned. Must have 5+ years of recent and related work experience.In lieu of degree: Candidates with 7+ years of recent and related work experience will be considered.
