Summary: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for laboratory testing and QC checks to support production activities throughout the plant.
Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Routine and non-routine laboratory testing.
- Maintenance and organization of the laboratory including supplies and documents.
- QC checks throughout the facility for compliance.
- Perform pre-op checklists.
- Conduct environmental monitoring.
- Review and disposition raw materials.
- Conduct ATP swabbing of equipment.
- Place non-conforming materials on hold.
- Enter all QC data and maintain records and logs.
- Perform daily equipment calibration and verification.
- Communicate quality updates to production.
- Communicate directives and provide instruction to production employees.
- Facilitate compliance of foreign material program.
- Verification of sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years experience in quality assurance position in manufacturing environment.

- Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.

- Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in a wet and/or humid environment. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Exposure to nut allergens.
