Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring processes, and conducting tests to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect materials, monitor processes, and conduct testing while documenting results to maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct testing on batches, raw materials, and components to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Perform micro testing on finished products and finished bulk.
  • Remove dye from the dye room for batches while ensuring documentation.
  • Run appropriate tests on products in response to customer complaints and provide answers to the customer service team.
  • Calibrate scales on a monthly basis.
  • Assist formulators as needed to make batches.
  • Receive ordered supplies for the lab.
  • Audit dyes and fragrance inventory and update Safety Data Sheets as necessary.
  • Record oven temperatures semi-monthly.
  • Refill bleach solution bottles in the batch-making area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED with 1-2 years' experience in a lab setting, OR Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science field.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively solve problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Environment

The role involves working in both a lab and a clean room/manufacturing setting. The position requires frequent operation of a computer, which involves sitting and keyboarding. There may be exposure to typical physical manufacturing hazards that require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The company offers a supportive team culture, and employees gain exposure to both quality control and quality assurance processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
