Quality Control Technician

Pay: $20.50/hour plus $0.50/hour shift differential

Second Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; with occasional overtime and alternating weekends.

Location: Onsite Waupaca, WI

Employment Type: Full Time

Summary

Quality products are essential to Gusmer's reputation as the Go to Provider, the Quality Control Technician is responsible for accurate testing, thorough documentation, and consistent adherence to procedures. This role requires accountability for results, integrity, and clear communication to support safe and efficient manufacturing. With a strong focus on collaboration, this position offers the chance to make a direct impact on product quality while working in an environment that values transparency and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs quality control testing and inspections on raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.

• Collects production samples, communicates test results to manufacturing, and supports informed production decisions.

• Enters and maintains accurate test data, inspection results, and certifications within the Quality Management System.

• Conducts in‑process audits and routine checks to verify adherence to internal procedures and customer requirements.

• Calibrates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment and instruments for accuracy and compliance.

• Collaborates with the Quality team during Outside of Specification (OOS) investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

• Maintains laboratory cleanliness, inventory, and readiness for audits.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/GED required.

• Some Quality Control experience preferred.

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Environment

• Primarily laboratory-based with regular interaction in a manufacturing environment.

• Exposure to noise, dust, temperature variations, and moving machinery.

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods, manual dexterity for laboratory work, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all OSHA and facility safety standards.
