Job Title: Quality Control Technician Location: Tulsa, OK Department: QualityReports To: Quality ManagerJob Type: Full-TimeSummary:Inspect industrial control panels against electrical and dimensional drawings prior to shipment. Panels include Variable Frequency Drive, Soft Start and custom control panels built to UL 508A requirements. This is an entry-level quality position. No prior QC experience is required; we train, and there is a defined advancement path into function testing and senior technician roles.Responsibilities:Inspect control panels against electrical schematics and dimensional drawings. Verify component selection including coil voltages, wire/cable gauges and torque requirements.Inspect hardware and wiring for defects.Energize and function test control panelsHand and light power tool operation.Document inspection results accurately and completely.Learn AID quality procedures, test methods and UL 508A fundamentals from senior technicians.Requirements:Basic knowledge of AC and DC circuitsBasic knowledge of wiring methodsAbility to read electrical and dimensional drawingsBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook and WordMust be able to accurately distinguish colors, including wire and cable color codingMust be able to read a tape measureMust be detail-oriented with accurate paperworkMust practice good/safe housekeepingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWork is in an industrial area and may include light manual labor.Candidates must be able to bend/lift 50lbs and stand for extended periodsMust comply with PPE requirementsMost of the work is at our Tulsa facility but light travel is expected on occasionPreferred:Previous manufacturing, electrical or inspection experienceFormal technical training or trade school coursework in an electrical fieldMust be able to pass a 7-year background check. We also conduct pre-employment drug testing. Any job offer will be based on the results of the background check and drug test. Must submit to pre-employment background, drug, and alcohol screening.
