Quality Control Technician
United Concrete Products Inc. is a leader in manufacturing precast concrete solutions. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are built and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Performs pre-pour inspection of all forms, reinforcement, steel, and inserts, to maintain optimized workflow and assists in finding ways to decrease delays and cause rework.
- Maintains daily and project production records.
- Checks and verifies all dimensions of cast-in embeds.
- Completes daily Quality Control documentation.
- Inspects all finished products.
- Documents and follows-up on any precast product that requires patching or rework.
- Ensures that all precast products are correctly marked.
- Assists other Quality Control personnel as requested.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining plant and yard safety in accordance with the Safety Manual and the direction of the Safety Coordinator.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prestress experience preferred
- Some experience in quality assurance, ACI (preferred but not required)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with construction materials (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- Problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to move or lift 50 lbs.
- Work and communicate well with others
