Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Quality Controller for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate must be a CPA with experience in monthly close, global consolidations, financial statement preparation, and SEC reporting, preferably within a publicly traded technology, software, or services organization.
Rate Range: $78/hour to $81/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Quality Controller job responsibilities include:
Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support and manage global consolidation activities across multiple entities and business units.
Prepare, review, and validate financial statements and SEC reporting deliverables in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and financial governance policies.
Partner with finance leadership and stakeholders to support financial reporting, audit activities, and compliance initiatives.
Analyze financial data, identify reporting risks, and recommend process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA designation required.
8+ years of experience in corporate accounting, global consolidations, SEC reporting, or financial reporting functions.
Strong experience managing:
Monthly Financial Close
Global Consolidations
Financial Statement Preparation
SEC Reporting
Experience within a publicly traded technology, software, services, or related organization.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP and financial consolidation systems.
Prior experience with Big 4 or public accounting firms.
Knowledge of ESG reporting and sustainability-related financial disclosures.
Experience supporting multinational organizations and complex corporate structures.
Strong process improvement and financial transformation experience.

Pay Details: $78.00 to $81.00 per hour
