Job Title: Quality Coordinator (AWS/CWI) III - Construction Quality
Department: Construction Quality

Payrate: $38/hr.

Assignment Duration: 03 year's contract on W2

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Quality Coordinators (AWS/CWI Level III) to support construction quality activities across multiple Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Solar, and related infrastructure projects in Georgia. These roles will ensure that all construction activities meet established quality standards, codes, and project specifications.

The positions require regular travel between project sites and close collaboration with project management, construction teams, and contractors.

Overview:-

This role is for an experienced Quality Coordinator who will ensure construction work on energy projects (such as battery storage and solar) meets all required standards and specifications. You will work closely with project teams and contractors, perform site inspections, review quality plans, and help maintain high-quality execution across multiple job sites. The position requires travel, strong attention to detail, and the ability to independently monitor and improve construction quality.

Location Coverage

(Macon Area): Supporting projects in Wadley, Warner Robins, Dublin, and Albany, GA
(Marietta Area): Supporting projects in Cartersville, Newnan, Gainesville, and Rome, GA

Key Responsibilities

Assist project management in developing and implementing project quality plans
Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and standards
Develop and maintain site-specific quality procedures and documentation
Create and manage surveillance schedules and perform quality surveillances
Review inspection and test plans (ITPs) and ensure adherence
Monitor contractor performance against quality requirements
Support construction teams with preventative maintenance activities as needed
Participating in pre-bid, pre-mobilization, and contractor meetings
Ensure contractors fully understand and comply with project quality expectations
Support overall project quality management and reporting

Required Qualifications

Certification: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
Experience:
- 10+ years of quality oversight experience
  OR
- 4-year degree in a related field with relevant experience
Strong understanding of construction quality processes and standards

Preferred Qualifications

AMPP/NACE certification
Experience with BESS and solar construction projects

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and proactive problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within team environments
Expertise in weld inspection and weld mapping
Experience performing onsite quality surveillance
Familiarity with hold points and witness points
Ability to review and interpret inspection/test plans and quality documentation
Working knowledge of applicable standards: ASME, AWS, ANSI, ASTM, ACI
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Additional Requirements

Travel between multiple job sites required
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
No NERC/CIP access required
Not supporting government-related projects.
