These projects and working groups are interdisciplinary in natureYou will identify opportunities for improvement based on evidence based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and monitoring of high risk, high volume and/or problem prone processesThis position maintains multiple databases and dashboards, as well as analyzes complex patient care data for reporting out at leadership levels. Analysis will also incorporate clinical and operational processes and outcomes. Partnership with Riverside Community Hospital departments and management is essential to achieve overall quality goalsWhat qualifications you will need: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare and clinical experience required. All education and degrees must be from an accredited institutionMinimum 3 years current experience in quality, risk management or related clinical experience within the acute care hospitals setting requiredFamiliarity with medical record coding and abstracting processes preferredAbility to identify opportunities for improvement using clinical judgement, based on evidence based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and monitoring of high risk and/or problem prone processes.Ability to educate both nurses and physicians, and have the clinical knowledge to interpret clinician questions.Expert knowledge of quality data analysis and reporting methodology pertinent to quality improvementSuperior understanding of core measures - concurrent review and abstractionDirectly related Performance Improvement (PI) experience and knowledge of PI methodologiesSuperior project management skills, Able to lead a project from beginning to end and sustain the gainsKnowledge and prior execution of regulatory standards through the tracer methodology and other regulatory readiness tools and techniques Experience with clinical databases and data management systems such as Meditech, COMET, CHOIS etc. preferred or must have ability to be trained within 90 daysSuperior computer skills with in-depth knowledge, experience to operate word processing, data bases, graphics, and excel spreadsheets in order to generate reports and informationSuperior, communication, telephone, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and positively with people.
