Quality Data Intelligence Analyst

Location: San Diego, CA

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (30 minutes flex either way)

Job Summary

This role is part of a small team of two, both reporting to the Hiring Manager, with the other team member serving in a higher-level, more senior Data Analyst capacity. The Quality Data Intelligence Analyst will look at databases, bring in pieces of data, and create charts, summaries, and reports using tools such as Power BI. The analyst will read data, decipher through it, analyze it, and create dashboards from it pulling data from sources including QlikView, Oracle, Agile, and Salesforce, and leveraging Power Automate to build reports and dashboards. The client is looking for someone who is excited about the role and interested in continuing on as an FTE in the same career path not candidates looking to job-hop or simply add logos to their resume.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Development

  • Design, create, and manage dynamic dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar platforms.
  • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Maintain documentation of dashboard development processes, data sources, design choices, and dashboard validation requirements based on company policy.

Data Analysis

  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Perform data validation and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure confidential or sensitive data is handled securely and in accordance with data protection laws and company policies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with different departments to understand their data and reporting needs.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on how to use dashboards effectively.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Work with IT to ensure all Quality dashboards meet the corporate IT policy and state-of-the-art requirements based on technology trends.

Reporting

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports based on dashboard data.
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders and senior management.

Required Skills

  • Data analysis understanding and interpreting data
  • Generating dashboards and reports
  • Ability to pull data from source systems (QlikView, Oracle, Agile, Salesforce) and build reports and dashboards in Power BI using Power Automate
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service, organization skills, and attention to detail

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology (IT), or Statistics required
  • Hiring Manager is open to 0 years of experience given a STEM degree with education on various software via coursework toward the degree
