    Job Description

    Job Summary

    The Quality Editor, Instructional Design is responsible for ensuring the consistency, quality and functionality of learning materials (for instructor-led and e-learning courses). IAPP training courses and textbooks are designed for professionals in privacy, AI governance, and digital responsibility working within an enterprise.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Creating, documenting, and executing consistent review processes and procedures for all training materials, including classroom-based materials, e-learning, and textbooks
    • Possessing exceptional writing and grammar skills and maintaining knowledge of various writing styles (Chicago, AP, etc.)
    • Proofreading and copyediting of training materials
    • Supporting instructional design work via content research and occasional writing, developing subject matter expert (SME) contributions and revisions, and completing other research and writing projects as assigned
    • Ensuring training content is aligned with IAPP organization-wide style guidelines and serving as team liaison to IAPP style governance group
    • Evaluating functionality of e-learning products from a user’s perspective
    • Reviewing content for accuracy
    • Recommending product enhancements toward greater user accessibility
    • Aggregating and integrating feedback from multiple reviewers
    • Supporting translation of training content through reviews to help ensure accuracy and to ensure look and feel and functionality remain intact
