Continuously improve operational yield through deployment of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and SPC for inspection, assembly, and test operations. Improve and deploy the quality management system and ensure compliance with requirements specified in AS9100 documentation.The main objectives of the Quality Engineer are:Ensuring proper flow-down of requirements from customers to operations/testSupport ongoing ERP system implementation to ensure production routers appropriately capture process requirements and detailsLead key quality meetings to drive routine information disposition and action for successful QMS deploymentDrive customer satisfaction by striving to prevent quality escapes and timely follow-up on escapesPartner with process engineering in root cause analysis of production issues (rework, scrap, etc.) to compel yield improvement, implementing process control and revising documentationLeverage quality software system to strengthen qualityLearn production processes to become capable of driving the adoption of Lean Six Sigma (LSS)Support operational process improvements to achieve appropriate industry certifications.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Lead root-cause analyses and implementation of corrective actions for process-related concernsTeach, train and lead work-cells in adopting continuous process improvement initiativesCollect, analyze, present and disseminate data in support of facility-wide yield improvement/LSS/SPC programOperate as an Agent of Change to lead Micross in successful adoption and implementation of LSS programStrengthen quality awareness across organizationAmend and draft procedures, as required, to integrate LSS initiatives into broader Micross Quality SystemsPerform process audits, as required, to support Micross Quality Management SystemDevelop and conduct training sessions for administrative and factory personnelProvide technical assistance and support to manufacturing personnel and other departments, as neededParticipate in a variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policiesOther Duties & Responsibilities:Build meaningful and productive relationships with business partners (e.g. Operations, Sales, and Process Engineering)Proactively participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goalsGenerate positive energy – motivate others to build a positive team spiritCommunicate effectively with all levels of employeesMaintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all timesComply with all safety policies, practices and proceduresComply with all quality and ITAR policies, practices and proceduresPerform other duties assignedJob Qualifications:BS in engineering or physical sciences preferred: electrical, industrial, manufacturing, materials science, or mechanical engineering, or electrical technologyMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years of technical experience in Manufacturing QualityLSS experience: green belt preferredTotal and practical competence in Six Sigma analytical tools and Lean Manufacturing methodsExperience working in an electronics manufacturing facility strongly preferredExperience working in a AS9100 or TS16949 or ISO13485 environment a significant plusExperience within the military/aerospace industry (or other highly regulated industry) a plusKnowledge of MIL-Specs/Stds a plusJob Skills:Superior communication skills; a proven teacher and coachAn high-energy, team-player – hungry to learn, share skills and operate as a constructive agent of changeA demonstrated high energy, results-focused self-starterDemonstrated planning skills; ability to prioritize, work under pressure and deliver against deadlinesAbility to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, lean environmentStrong analytical ability and a good decision-makingSolid computer skills (Excel and PowerPoint)At Micross, our Core Values of integrity, communication, teamwork, quality and execution, self-discipline and accountability are cultivated throughout all levels of the organization.
