Our client is an aerospace manufacturer that is looking to add a new supplier quality engineer to their growing department. This role is crucial in upholding their commitment to excellence as this person will be a representative of the company to all of their core suppliers. Client DetailsFounded in the 1940s, our client is a manufacturer for the aerospace industry. They offer unique and specialized engineered products that are used for aerospace, marine, ordnance, nuclear, precision and commercial applications. Due to exciting growth, they are seeking an experience supplier quality engineer to drive improvement and be a key representative of the company to their core suppliers. DescriptionConduct routine supplier audits to verify compliance with quality standardsPerform on‑site supplier audits (approximately 30-60% travel required)Complete risk assessments and related documentationDevelop and implement supplier quality and delivery control processes, including supporting auditsTrack, analyze, and report supplier performance metricsPartner with suppliers to address quality concerns and drive corrective actionsReview and approve supplier quality documentationManage supplier non‑conformance reports and coordinate timely issue resolutionLead supplier development initiatives to support continuous improvementProvide supplier training through on‑site sessions and remote learningSupport supplier selection and qualification activitiesMaintain and manage the Approved Vendor List (on‑boarding and release)Support new product development by ensuring supplier quality requirements are metManage and support internal corrective action processes to drive continuous improvementOversee and maintain the calibration system, ensuring compliance and accuracyMaintain BMS document control, including updates and distributionAdminister and manage Repair Station documentation and the training databaseAssist with additional projects and responsibilities assigned by the Quality Manager ProfileThe succesful supplier quality engineer will have the following:Bachelor's degree is preferred - other relevant industry experience is consideredExperience with AS9100 or other relevant quality standardsProficency in quality management analysis toolsSix Sigma or Lean certification preferredStrong analytical and problem solving skillsProficiency in supplier audit methodsStrong understanding of quality control principles and practices Ability to read and interpret drawings and specificationsKnowledge of root cause analysis techniquesStrong ability to multi-taskJob OfferSalary up to roughly $115k depending on interview strength and prior experienceQuarterly bonus program based on plant profitability Health, Dental, Vision insurance Tuition reimbursement401(k) programPTO and company paid holidays MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
