Quality Engineer-AS9100

JSG is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's aerospace manufacturing team in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a 100% on-site contract position (12–18+ months) supporting manufacturing quality, root cause analysis, and customer satisfaction improvement activities.

The ideal candidate is reliable, exercises strong independent judgment, takes initiative, and stays composed under pressure.

Skills:

• AS9100 experience required; aerospace experience strongly preferred (medical device industry background with transferable knowledge is also considered)
• Provide Manufacturing Quality Support and Quality Engineering expertise
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to closure
• Support Customer Satisfaction Improvement Activities
• Partner with operations teams to improve throughput and process performance
• Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure products meet established standards
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to improve product quality
• Prepare and communicate quality reports, findings, and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and company requirements
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on quality procedures and best practices
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related technical field
•  Aiken Certified Technician, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

Pay Rate: $50–$60/hr DOE
