Quality Engineer

Location: Brea, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $90,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience

We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Brea, CA. This is a permanent full time position working with an established company. It is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working closely with production and customers.

You’ll help reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer returns while supporting continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve quality and process issues with production teams.
• Use Quality and Six Sigma tools to reduce defects and improve processes.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap, rework, and customer returns.
• Handle customer returns and support the material review process.
• Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support customer quality audits and respond to customer corrective action requests.
• Develop and update quality procedures and work instructions.
• Help train operators, inspectors, and other employees on quality requirements.
• Support and mentor other quality team members.
• Help select and implement inspection and testing equipment.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance.
• Experience troubleshooting part and process issues.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and standards.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or continuous improvement methods is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Able to understand customer specifications, requirements, and quality standards.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to take ownership of projects.
• Strong team player who works well with both employees and customers.
• Good attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
