Quality Engineer | Cadillac, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Cadillac that are seeking Quality Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality standards.
  • Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain quality documentation, including FMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Participate in new product development (NPD) to ensure quality is designed into products and processes.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with metrology and various inspection techniques.
Bonus Qualifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical software
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
