Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree in engineering in mechanical, industrial, Material Science or manufacturing engineering
- 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in the quality field, aerospace industry preferred
ASQ CQE certified (preferred)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing basics and AS9100 quality system requirements
Working Knowledge of problem-solving tools
Experience in blueprint reading
PPAP and AS9102 experience
Strong organization and planning skills
Compensation Range:
$80,000 - $103,000
Job Summary:
As a Quality Engineer, you''ll be part of our Aerospace team working as an on-site employee in Fullerton, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Supporting of customer, AS9100, and NADCAP audits
- Conducting internal audits and identifying areas for improvement.
- Understanding customer demands and expectations of products and services
- Developing training documentation for specific processes in compliance with customer and quality requirements.
- Participating in design reviews, risk management, continuous improvement, approval of routers for new products, contract review, and PPAP activities.
- Creating and enforcing quality standards, procedures, and policies.
- Working closely with all departments/functions to develop procedures/work instructions for new processes, identify improvement and training needs, and develop performance goals.
- Communicating significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Managing Root Cause & Corrective Action process for external and internal customer complaints.
- Developing new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Interface and assist with supply chain development and initiatives; evaluate supplier performance; maintain suppliers'' qualifications up to date.
