Are you an experienced Quality Engineer who thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and maintaining rigorous quality standards? We are seeking a skilled professional to take ownership of quality activities for assigned product lines within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and internal quality requirements
Investigate internal rejections, customer returns, and nonconforming materials
Perform root-cause analysis and develop 8D corrective action plans
Apply quality tools including 5 Whys, FMEA, control plans, and fishbone analysis
Develop inspection plans for receiving, in-process, assembly, final, and test inspections
Review manufacturing plans for inspection points, testing, gauging, and drawing compliance
Conduct internal quality-system audits and implement improvement plans
Support customer, AS9100, and FAA audits
Analyze quality trends and present findings to management
Review supplier performance and issue supplier corrective actions when needed
Represent Quality on the Material Review Board
Evaluate customer claims and issue RMAs
Communicate directly with customers regarding quality concerns and corrective actions
Develop and deliver quality-related training
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
At least five years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience
Previous Quality Engineer experience is required
Strong knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015
Experience with 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, control plans, and fishbone analysis
Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical inspection methods
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
ASQ certification, such as CQE or CSSBB, is preferred
Work Environment
This role works in both office and manufacturing settings and may involve exposure to machinery, moderate noise, fumes, and dust. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and perform activities such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, and climbing stairs.
