Job Position: Quality Engineer
Position Summary
Under general direction, the Quality Engineer shall aid in the maintenance of the quality management system by assisting with inspection, internal auditing, data collection and interpretation, identifying improvement opportunities and product failure investigations.
Key Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- First Article Inspections
- Internal auditing
- Data collection and analysis
- Root cause investigations
- Nonconforming material review
- Design reviews
- Procedure writing
- Assistant with the day to day in the inspection department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Five years proven work experience in at least three of the listed Principal Tasks in an industrial environment
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D
- Experience with Internal auditing
- Experience with GD&T.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical assembly diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Ability to use both digital and analog outside, inside, and depth micrometers and calipers
- Ability to use a microscope
- Ability to use a personal computer including Microsoft Office programs with detailed skills with Excel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical direction to the inspection team as needed.

- Gauge Blocks
- Micrometers and calipers - both digital and analog
- Depth Gauges
- Dial Indicators
- Thread Gauges
- Pin Gauges
- Electrical measuring equipment
- Pressure measuring equipment
- Office Equipment: personal computer, copier/printer, fax machine and telephone
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/ technical nature
- Ability to life weight up to a maximum of 40 pounds
- Ability to sit at a desk for approximately 5 hours per day
- Ability to stand and/or walk for approximately 3 hours per day
- Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, and reach
- Manual dexterity to manipulate and inspect small parts
- Must have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to take and implement technical directions
Ability to communicate in a professional manner when providing verbal feedback on issues of quality
