Position Summary Ensure consistent quality of production by supporting activities with the Business Management System (BMS). Ensure implementation of customer contractual requirements through timely contract review and configuration management processes. Quickly and effectively act when potential non-conformances are found by supporting material review board huddles and facilitating corrective action process. Lead continuous improvement activities. Gather data and perform analysis to review for product defect trends and/or process metrics. Maintain up to date with new and emerging technologies and methods that relate to Quality Assurance.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Reviews customer requirements and ensures that they are metParticipates and leads closed-loop root cause and corrective action activitiesDispositions non-conforming materialIdentify and initiate continuous improvement opportunitiesAssemble and review end-item data packages before customer submittalPerform contract reviews, purchase order reviews, planning reviews and supplier data to ensure that quality requirements are captured and flowed downContribute to a team environment, be flexible, and volunteer support to meet team goalsCollaborate with program management, engineering, purchasing, production control, operations, and inspectionMonitor Program Quality performance and facilitate process improvement projects to maintain an acceptableParticipate in Change Control Board (CCB) reviewsSkills And Requirements Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in the aerospace and defense industryBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similarStrong background in Corrective Action, Lean Tools and problem solvingMUST have general understanding of GD&T and able to interpret engineering drawingsAbility to interpret and understand customer and industry specifications, i.e., ISO, ASME, MIL STD, MS, etc.Excellent communications skills – both verbal and technical writingProvide project leadership for process improvement initiativesUnderstanding of configuration management principles and practicesExperience with Quality Engineering tools, i.e., Cause Map, Fish Bone analysis, PFMEA, Six Sigma, SPC, etc.Strong presentation skillsStrong organizational skillsPrior background that includes machining, assembly, and inspection desirableAttention to details and be a self starterUphold the company's core values of Partnership, ‘Can-Do' Attitude, Integrity, and InnovationMS Office proficientAmerican Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plusGreen belt trained a plusFamiliarity with SAP a plusMust be able to lift up to 35 lbsWork Environment Medium-to-large office environmentFast paced office environmentThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderateExposed to a combination of normal office type environmentsSalary Range Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $95,000 - $120,000Travel Requirements There are typically no travel requirements for this position (0%).Notes This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this position's employee(s).
