Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Automation Test Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier banking clients in Cincinnati, OH. Onsite schedule
Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for enterprise data and API testing initiatives.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression test suites for Java and Python-based APIs.
- Validate data movement and integration processes utilizing Kafka and big data technologies.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD/Gherkin).
- Build and execute automation suites through Maven and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform web services testing using XML, SOAP, REST, and SOAP UI.
- Collaborate with Agile delivery teams during sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
- Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and partner with developers to ensure quality solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to test strategy, design, development, and quality assurance best practices.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through automation and process optimization.
Required Skills :
- 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver/Grid for automated web application testing.
- Experience developing automated test scripts using Java and/or Python.
- Proficiency with JUnit, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Cucumber and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
- Experience testing APIs and web services using SOAP UI, XML, REST, and SOAP technologies.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience validating data integrations, data movement processes, and Kafka-based solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills :
- Prior banking experience
- Prior experience in Capital Markets
- 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver/Grid for automated web application testing.
- Experience developing automated test scripts using Java and/or Python.
