QUALITY ENGINEER/INSPECTION SUPERVISOR (Permanent) Our client, an international manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY, is looking to hire a Quality Engineer/Inspection Supervisor to join their growing team. This is a newly created, hands-on position, open due to growth, that reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
Oversee a team of Inspection personnel to ensure processes, assembly, and parts are meeting quality and customer requirements
Track performance of Inspection team members, providing hands-on training and guidance of inspection techniques and processes
Spearhead regulatory compliance activities for UL, CSA, ETL, NSF, and Intertek certifications for manufactured products
Participate in audit coordination, reporting, application management, nonconformance resolution, and database maintenance
Prepare, maintain, and present quality reports and documents for internal and registration audits according to ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards
Audit and implement improvements to SOPs, Work instructions, and training documents to ensure best practices are executed
Collaborate with various internal teams—Production, Engineering, etc.—to design and implement inspection protocols and analyze Engineering specifications
Conduct root-cause analysis as issues arise, develop short-term and long-term corrective action plans, and ensure proper implementation
Ensure all quality issues are properly communicated to appropriate internal team members, customers, and suppliers
Analyze test and inspection methodologies for effectiveness, implementing improvements when necessary
Review new products—both purchased by and created by the organization—through Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Work well both independently and in a team environment
Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
Position is full-time, direct hire
100% in-office
$90,000 - $130,000 annually depending on experience

5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, 3+ years in a supervisory role
Knowledge of HVAC systems, pump systems, pressure vessels, motors, etc.
Bachelor’s degree; comparable experience will offset a degree
Excellent experience with ERP systems, computer skills, etc.
