Vertiv is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer Intern to support quality and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing and engineering environment. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations teams to ensure the highest standards of product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
The Quality Engineer Intern will participate in data analysis, process improvement projects, root cause investigations, and quality system activities supporting Vertiv's portfolio of critical digital infrastructure solutions.
This position is designed for engineering students seeking practical experience applying engineering fundamentals in a manufacturing and quality-focused environment.
Essential Responsibilities (may include):
Support Quality Engineers with day-to-day quality assurance and quality control activities.
Assist in analyzing manufacturing, supplier, and field quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Participate in root cause analysis investigations related to product, process, and customer quality concerns.
Collect, organize, and interpret quality metrics using statistical and analytical tools.
Assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support audits of manufacturing processes, inspection systems, and quality documentation.
Help develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and standard operating practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Participate in validation and verification activities for new products, processes, or equipment.
Contribute to projects focused on improving product reliability, process capability, and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
