This is a senior quality engineering role responsible for ensuring products meet rigorous standards through advanced quality processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Description
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost outcomes
- Lead investigations into nonconforming products, implementing containment strategies and root cause corrective actions
- Own and monitor Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics to support performance and improvement initiatives
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to address quality concerns and present solutions
- Review and approve critical compliance documentation, including FAI and End Item Data Packages
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve processes and operational performance
- Conduct and support internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures
- Mentor and support junior quality engineers, fostering team capability and development
- Develop and implement rework procedures for nonconforming materials
Profile
- 8+ years of experience in quality engineering or a specialised manufacturing discipline
- Bachelor's degree preferred (experience can substitute); advanced degree advantageous
- Strong background in quality systems, audits, inspection processes, and compliance standards
- Proven experience leading corrective action initiatives and driving process improvements
- Ability to operate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- Leadership or mentorship experience within a quality or engineering team
