Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to verify compliance with quality requirements and drive continuous supplier performance improvements.Training & Continuous ImprovementTrain employees on quality procedures, inspection methods, and best practices to promote a culture of quality. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving process capability, minimizing waste, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize manufacturing and quality processes.The Successful ApplicantEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, or other industrial manufacturing processes. Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001 or similar standards. Experience working with engineered products, custom manufacturing, or complex production environments is highly preferred.Technical Skills Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment and inspection methods. Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, MSA, CAPA, and root cause analysis. Hands-on experience investigating quality issues and implementing effective corrective actions. Comfortable using Microsoft Office and manufacturing or quality software, such as ERP systems, Minitab, or equivalent platforms.Professional Skills Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, production, and supplier teams. Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Preferred Qualifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or actively pursuing certification. ASQ certifications, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) are considered an asset. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification or equivalent welding quality experience is a plus.
