Legacy Staffing has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in the Massillon area to identify an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality systems, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier quality, and new product launches within a fast-paced machining environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical quality professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with IATF 16949, root cause analysis, PPAP/FMEA activities, and manufacturing quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the company's IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Develop and maintain control plans, process documentation, and quality standards
  • Assist with PFMEA development and process validation activities
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action initiatives
  • Monitor quality KPIs, process capability, and continuous improvement metrics
  • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support customer quality concerns, complaint resolution, and corrective actions
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including audit preparation and reporting
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Materials, and Sales during new product launches
  • Support supplier quality initiatives, vendor performance tracking, and supplier audits
  • Analyze quality trends and implement sustainable process improvements
  • Conduct quality-related training and support company-wide quality compliance efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing quality experience
  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
  • Experience with PPAP, FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Automotive or precision manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and standard business systems
