We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Representative to support inspection and quality assurance activities for electronic assemblies and PCBAs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment and be comfortable performing inspections, supplier quality activities, and supporting First Article Inspections (FAIs).
Primary Responsibilities
Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of:
Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
Electronic assemblies
Mechanical/electrical subassemblies
Fully assembled products
Verify product compliance to:
Engineering drawings
Assembly drawings
Bills of Material (BOMs)
Customer specifications
Work instructions
Support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and supplier qualification activities.
Travel to supplier/vendor locations to perform:
Supplier Quality Reviews
Source inspections
First Article Inspections (FAIs)
Document inspection results and communicate nonconformances.
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
Maintain accurate inspection and quality records in accordance with company procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
The following certifications and experience are preferred but not required:
IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
Basic internal or supplier auditing experience
Experience inspecting electronic assemblies and PCBAs
Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs)
Required Skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings.
Understanding of electronic components and PCB assemblies.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office applications.
Travel Requirements
Must be willing and able to travel periodically to supplier and vendor locations for:
First Article Inspections (FAIs)
Supplier Quality Assessments
Source Inspection activities
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field is a plus.
Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Electronics Manufacturing, or PCB Assembly inspection is preferred.
