Job Description

Quality Control Engineer

Our client is a leading, long-established manufacturer within the steel and heavy industrial space, supporting key industries including automotive, construction, and packaging. They are currently investing heavily in one of their largest facilities, expanding operations and building out new production capabilities while continuing to grow their quality and engineering teams.

Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Identify and address quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and production processes.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain quality assurance.

Maintain and manage quality documentation and reports.

Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures.

Work with suppliers to ensure materials meet quality requirements.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and manufacturing department.

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Experience within steel or heavy industrial manufacturing environments

Strong understanding of quality systems, with exposure to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 preferred

Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvements

Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with operations and engineering teams

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in a plant environment

Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting

Salary typically between $70K-$90,000 depending on experience

Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision)

401k with ~6% company match

PTO starting at 2 weeks, increasing to 3 weeks
